For my very first spotlight, I knew I wanted to hear from the owner of Shameless Grounds. This coffee shop/lunch and dinner spot is one of my favorite places to pop into when I am in Benton Park here in St. Louis. Found at 1901 Withnell Ave, St. Louis, MO 63118 at the corner of Lemp Avenue and Withnell Avenue, this little coffee shop hosts a sex-positive library that you can borrow from (if you are local St. Louisan), a myriad of delicious coffee options, some of the best hand-made sandwiches, and in the evening there are alcoholic and non-alcoholic spirits for sipping during all of the hosted events.

Michelle, the owner, was probably one of the best people to do one of these Spotlights with first. She was so kind and relaxed as I bumbled through realizing that my Garage Band was not up to date post a computer update, and when my mic stopped working temporarily, she didn’t mind at all re-recording her already flawless recording about Shameless Grounds. It was wonderful to work with her, and she is why I am so excited to be representing her and Shameless Grounds on the very first episode this season!
